Injuries: Hawks, Pens, Blues, Rangers, Wings, Jets and More
The St. Louis Blues will get some salary cap flexibility to make additional moves once Alex Steen and Vladimir Tarasenko are put on the LTIR.
  • Mark Lazerus: Blackhawks Kimmo Timonen will miss their last regular season game, but should be back for the playoffs.
  • James Mirtle: The Penguins are missing Kris Letang, Christian Ehrhoff, Olli Maatta and Derrick Pouliot from their blueline.
  • Jeremy Rutherford: Blues Alex Steen “It’s my third skate — like legit skate — I had one in Chicago. I took a few days off and then had one yesterday. I’m not expecting much. I’ve just got to see how it feels, how it reacts, everything. Day by day.”
  • Lou Korac: Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said that Steen, Vladimir Tarasenko and Robert Bortuzzo have been skating away from the media.
  • Brett Cyrgalis: Rangers Kevin Klein won’t play on Saturday, but they are expecting him to be ready for the playoffs.
  • Helene St. James: Red Wings Tomas Jurco has been cleared to return and should be in the lineup on Saturday. Pavel Datsyuk will be given the game off to rest.
  • Ken Wiebe: Jets Tobias Enstrom is progressing and his status for Saturday is still undetermined.
  • Farhan Lalji: Canucks Shawn Matthias rested an undisclosed injury yesterday, but is expected to be ready for Saturday.
  • Tom Gulitti: Devils Eric Gelinas said that his ribs are improving, but there is still pain when he twists and shoots. A doctor checked his ribs after Tuesday’s game, but no x-rays were taken. Said that he had a ‘contusion’ on his ribs.
  • Mike Chambers: Avs Dennis Everberg will likely require shoulder surgery.
  • Elliott Pap: Canucks Brad Richardson (ankle) was on the ice before their morning skate yesterday.
  • Dave Stubbs: Canadiens Tom Gilbert missed last night’s game with an upper-body injury and is day-to-day.
  • Bill Hoppe: Sabres Chad Johnson won’t play again this season.
