On the Blackhawks …

On the Stars …

“He’s been struggling a little bit and we’re trying to get him feeling better,” Ruff said. “It’s hip related. I don’t think this is something that isn’t normal. We had ups and downs with (Klingberg) through his situation. Same thing with Jamie. It’s been pretty good, but playing has taken a little bit of a toll on him, some of the hits. We are just trying to get him back to where he is skating again.”

On the Flyers …

  • Tim Panaccio of CSN Philly: Evgeny Medvedev flew back to Philadelphia to have his upper-body injury examined.

“I believe he got hurt in the last game and he told Jimmy last night on the plane,” Hextall said. “That’s the first we knew about it. Literally, no one knew anything. And then on the plane, Jimmy comes up to me and said, ‘Medy’s hurt.’”

GM Ron Hextall doesn’t think it will be long-term.

  • Sam Carchidi: Sean Couturier said that he feels a “lot better and ready to go” and will probably be ready for Thursday.

On the Wild …

  • Wild.com: Tyler Graovac had successful bilateral core muscle repair surgery yesterday and will be out for six weeks.

“Chris sustained a left femur fracture in the first period of the Bruins/Stars game on Tuesday, November 3 and was transported to Mass General Hospital,” Bruins general manager Don Sweeney said in a statement. “He will undergo surgery on Wednesday, November 4 at Mass General Hospital and his expected recovery time is between six and eight months.”
