Giroux to see specialist … McDonagh returns … Foster fractures collarbone … Halak and Komarov heading to KHL
  • Frank Seravalli of the Philadelphia Daily News: Flyers Claude Giroux is leaving Germany and heading to Atlanta to be examined by Dr. Ted Carrick. Carrick treated Sidney Crosby when he had his concussion. Carrick is a “chiropractic neurologist.” Giroux injured his neck last Friday while playing for Eisbaren Berlin in the German Elite League. Giroux’s agent, Pat Brisson, said it was just a “precaution” and they “don’t believe it’s serious.” His German team said he’d be flying home on Wednesday, but Giroux said he wouldn’t returning until next week. Giroux suffered a concussion last year, missing only four games.
