On the Boston Bruins …

Kevin Paul Dupont of the Boston Globe: Bruins coach Claude Julien said that Patrice  Bergeron is day-to-day.

“When we say he is day-to-day, he’s doing really well,” said Julien, referring to Bergeron. “I am certainly not—how do I say?—erasing him from our lineup.’’

Tuukka Rask was given yesterday off after he “popped a groin” in their last game. Julien expects that Rask will play tonight against the Leafs.

On the Florida Panthers …

Allan Walsh: Jonathan Huberdeau got clearance to return from his Achilles surgery.

Eric Stephens: GM Dale Tallon said that Jonathan Huberdeau’s injury was “near career-threatening.”

On the New Jersey Devils …

New Jersey Devils: The Devils activate defenseman Andy Greene off the IR.

Andrew Gross: Defenseman John Moore on his concussion: “For about a week I really wasn’t myself and it was really scary. Thank God that I’m back to being myself.”

Chris Ryan: Moore was on the ice yesterday for the first time since suffering his concussion on December 31st.

Chris Ryan: Beau Bennett was on the ice for their optional skate yesterday.

On the Washington Capitals …

Isabelle Khurshudyan of the Washington Post: Justin Williams will return to the lineup today after missing their last game with a lower-body injury.

“He got a little bit nicked up night,” Trotz said after the Bruins game. “We just thought it’d the best for him to let it just settle knowing we’ve got a couple days.”

Tom Gulitti: Coach Barry Trotz said that the report from Russia that Evgeni Kuznetsov was playing with a serious ankle injury early on in the season was news to him. He called it “false news.”
