TSN: The Montreal Canadiens have sent Sergei Kostitsyn and future considerations to the Nashville Predators for UFA goalie Dan Ellis, RFA Dustin Boyd and future considerations.
Kostitsyn was qualified by the Canadiens the other day, surprising some because of the problems the team has had with him.
Dan Ellis posted on twitter that he’s excited to join a team with great tradition and passion.
It’s unknown at this point if he’ll be signing with the team. If he still believes he’s a #1 goalie, it won’t be with the Canadiens, who’ve pinned their hopes on Carey Price.
