Bruins sign Patrice Bergeron to a 3 year, $15 million extension
  • Joe Haggerty of CSNNE.com: The Boston Bruins and Patrice Bergeron have agreed in principle to a 3 year contract extension worth $15 million. It was first reported by the RDS last night and confirmed this morning.

A source informed CSNNE yesterday that a deal was “unlikely to happen” while the team was in Europe, but after a lengthy conversation between Bergeron and GM Peter Chiarelli, things changed.

  • Kevin Paul Dupont of the Boston Globe: A formal news conference of the Bergeron signing will take place this afternoon (local not Prague time). Chiarelli and Bergeron will comment after practice (early this morning, EST).
