  • John Talarico of Chicago Now: According to someone in the Chicago Blackhawks organization, the ‘Hawks and Toronto Maple Leafs were working on a deal that would have seen Jack Skille end up on the Leafs, but it fell through last week. The deal continued to grow as Brian Burke was trying to get bigger pieces involved. Talarico noted that the trade “would have been one of the biggest in recent NHL memory.”
