Bill Guerin retires after 18 NHL seasons

Shelly Anderson of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette: Bill Guerin announced his retirement today, and will be honored by the Pittsburgh Penguins before tonight’s game. Guerin played for 8 teams in his 18 year career and won a Stanley Cup with the Penguins.

In 1263 games, Guerin scored 429 goals and added 427 assists for 856 points. He racked up 1660 penalty minutes. In 140 playoff games, Guerin scored 39 goals and totaled 74 points, with 162 penalty minutes.
