Elliott Teaford of the OC Register: The Kings put Jonathan Quick on the IR yesterday with an unspecified lower-body injury. A team spokesperson said that he’ll be week-to-week. Peter Budaj was recalled to backup Jeff Zatkoff.

Marian Gaborik will be out until Thanksgiving with his broken foot.

Dave Molinari: Coach Mike Sullivan said that Sidney Crosby is “day-to-day” and he’s “making progress.”

On the Florida Panthers …

George Richards: Panthers coach Gerard Gallant said that Jonathan Huberdeau had surgery on his Achilles tendon and will be out for three to four months.

On the Winnipeg Jets …

Winnipeg Jets: Forward Bryan Little left last night’s game with a lower-body injury.

Dhiren Mahiban: The Oilers have put Brandon Davidson on the IR.

Jim Matheson: Davidson will be out “awhile” with an upper-body injury. It could be a shoulder.

On the Dallas Stars …

Mike Heika: Ales Hemsky (groin) and Jamie Oleksiak (lower-body) skated yesterday. They didn’t play last night and Hemsky is likely out on Saturday as well.

On the Buffalo Sabres …

Paul Hamilton: Coach Dan Bylsma said Jack Eichel‘s high ankle sprain is “moderate” and he’ll be out weeks and not days.

John Wawrow: Hearing that an optimistic projection for Eichel is that he could start getting back on feet within two weeks.

John Vogl: Evander Kane‘s left side crashed into the boards. He’s had surgery on his left shoulder.

Kyle Bukauskas: Once off the ice, they brought in a stretcher for Kane.

John Vogl: Kane was taken to the hospital as a precaution and for evaluation.

John Vogl: Bylsma said there no further update on Kane. He’s being checked for everything, including “internaly.”

Mike Harrington: Source saying that Kane is being checked for multiple rib injuries.
