NHL Power Rankings for Week 14

The Washington Capitals remain a top our consensus NHL Power Rankings Week 14 after receiving seven or eight first place rankings by the media outlets. The Chicago Blackhawks moved up from fifth to second place this week.

The Florida Panthers finally lost a game. The Panthers received one first place vote, but fell to third. The Los Angeles Kings and Dallas Stars each dropped a slot.

Familiar teams still hold down the fort on the wrong end of the power rankings.

After spending some time out the rankings basement, the Columbus Blue Jackets drop back to No. 30. The Buffalo Sabres and Edmonton Oilers both move up one slot to 29th and 28th respectively.

The Toronto Maple Leafs got thumped by the Sharks on Saturday 7-0, and dropped two spots to No. 27. The Winnipeg Jets hold steady at No. 26.
