NHL Video: The Vinny Problem for the Flyers … Senators Could Be Interested


  • Tim Panaccio of CSN Philly: The Flyers need to pick up part of the Vincent Lecavalier’s contract if they want to move him. Source saying the Flyers only want to eat $1 million, where others teams want them to eat more and throw in something else, either a pick or player.

    “Philly won’t pick up a good portion of the contract with many teams,” a source said, which is why the Flyers are struggling to move Lecavalier.

  • Bruce Garrioch: With Vincent Lecavalier set to make $4.5 million over four years, the Senators don’t want to take on the entire contract, and the Flyers don’t want to eat $2 million of it.

    Allen ($3.5 million) for Vinny ($4.5 million) have flyers eat $1-1.5 of his salary. That’d be perfect!!!!!

    Ottawa does not need Vinny. Is there anyone more over-paid out there. Leave him in Philly. Put some thought into the way you are spending your money instead of throwing it at a washed up player!

    philly doesnt want to eat the salary?, heres an idea maybe you shouldnt have signed him to this stupid contract. hope flyers get stuck with him and learn a lesson about over paying hasbeens
