NHL Rumors III: Callahan, Stastny, Bolland and Komarov
  • The Fourth Period: Ryan Callahan’s agent, Steve Bartlett, met with Lightning GM Steve Yzerman last week and they will touch base again this week. It’s not known if Yzerman has presented a formal offer. The Lightning have 16 players under contract for next season. Mattias Ohlund carries a $3.6 million cap hit, but won’t play due to a career ending injury.
  • Adrian Dater Podcast: Paul Stastny’s agent said that “nothing imminent” with regards to Stastny signing a new contract with the Avalanche.
  • Rob Longley: Maple Leafs pending UFA Dave Bolland to SportsNet radio: “I want to get something done here. I want to be a Leaf for a while.”
  • Michael Traikos: Leo Komarov’s agent is in Toronto and said that Komarov will play in the NHL next year and is looking for a long-term deal. The Maple Leafs are still his top choice. Traikos notes: “To everyone saying they want the Leafs to re-sign Leo Komarov, understand it will cost top-6 money for a bottom-6 forward. Worth it?”
