NHL Video: Douglas Murray Suspended Three Games For An Illegal Check To The Head

Montreal Canadiens Douglas Murray has been suspended for three games for an illegal check to the head of Tampa Bay Lightning’s Mike Kostka.

Kostka suffered an injury on the play and Murray has not been suspended in the past.

Do you AGREE with the three games? Should have it been more? less?

Another reason why Brendan Shanahan is horrible at his job. If he would give longer suspensions these hits would have been out of the league years ago. Shame on him!!!!

You’re seriously blaming Shanahan for plays “years” ago? I would have guessed 5 games, so 3 isn’t far off; he is enforcing rules that others have put in place.

I still think there should be a stiffer penalty for teams than losing a player for a few games, maybe lose the roster spot as well.
