VIDEO: SportsNet HC Trade Tracker: Canucks Ryan Kesler

Hockey Central panel discusses whether the Vancouver Canucks will trade Ryan Kesler. The 29-year old carries a $5 million salary cap hit through 2015-16.

Doug MacLean thinks possible destinations are the Red Wings and Flyers. Nick Kypreos thinks possible destinations are the Flyers and Penguins.

Who do you think should trade for Kesler, and at what cost?

Just wondering if this trade idea is from a Canucks fan or a rare Blue Jackets fan.. I like the trade because
Ryan Johanson will score 30+ goals next year and No one Jenner has great size, skill and speed and will have his coming out party soon with at least a 20 goal season then you add the first round pick. That is a lot to give I think maybe too much but Vancouver would be stupid not to take it…..

Kesler, Luongo for St.Louis, Tyler Johnson and Ben Bishop.

I like the bobs trade. Kesler and edler could put a team over. Those young guns will help retool the canucks.

I think now that Hossa’s hurt for a couple weeks, the Blackhawks should make a strong push for Kesler. He’s the type of guy that would fit right in with Coach Q’s scheme, and he’s the perfect #2 center the Hawks need, so they can develop the kid Teuvo in the minors, to get accustomed to the North American game for another year. I’d give up Leddy (he’s been on the block for a couple weeks now, and with Clendening tearing it up in the minors he could be expendable), Morin (top prospect), LeBlanc (up and coming center, very skilled), and a 1st, and 2nd Round draft pick for this year’s draft.
