  • Renaud Lavoie: Canadiens Carey Price will miss the next two games after re-injuring himself during the Olympics. They have recalled Dustin Tokarski. L.A. Lariviere: Mike Babcock said that he was unaware of Price’s lower-body injury during the Olympics.
  • Jim Diamond: The Predators have assigned goalie Pekka Rinne to the AHL. Barring any setbacks, it’s possible that Rinne could play during their homestand.
  • Frank Seravalli: Flyers coach Craig Berube confirms that Kimmo Timonen won’t play tonight as he’s been given another day of rest.
  • Kevin McGran: Leafs GM Dave Nonis said that Dave Bolland is unlikely for today. He’s day-to-day.
  • Kevin Kurz: Sharks Tomas Hertl is in Philly with the team and he may skate with them.
  • Ted Kulfan: Red Wings GM Ken Holland said that prospect Alexey Marchenko is out six to eight weeks with an ankle injury.
