VIDEO: SportsNet HC Trade Tracker: Avalanche’s P.A. Parenteau

Hockey Central panel discusses whether the Colorado Avalanche will trade P.A Parenteau. The 30-year old was a healthy scratch several times before the Olympic break. He carries a $4 million salary cap hit through 2015-16.

Marty Turco thinks a possible destination is the Islanders. Marty McSorley thinks the Canadiens and Devils are possible destinations.

Who do you think should go after Parenteau, and at what cost?

Parenteau would be good fit back my islanders, Pittsburgh and Vancouver. To Colorado Mcdonald. Prospect from Pittsburgh. From Vancouver burrows

Just because a guy’s a healthy scratch a few games doesn’t mean him and the coach have some giant rift; yet these guys talk about it like it’s an absolute certainty. Really third-rate commentary.

I spoke with a respected scout of the Avalanche Organization and he stated “unless an offer for Parenteau is so beneficial for the Avalanche that we’d come out ahead as the winner of the deal he is unlikely to be moved.” P.Roy is having a difficult time finding line mates that suit Parenteau’s game so he can put up the kind of numbers that he did with the Islanders. The Avalanche like Parenteau’s game and his contract is at fair value.
