  • Bob McKenzie: Brian Rafalski has been released from the Florida Everblades (ECHL) as they needed a roster spot. He’s been out with a sore back since Jan. 18th.
  • Ottawa Senators: Defenseman Cody Ceci has been told that he’ll remain with the team for the rest of the season.
  • Jame Mirtle: The Maple Leafs have a strange rule that writers are not allowed to talk with assistant coaches.
  • Joe McDonald: The Bruins have activated Chris Kelly and sent Ryan Spooner and Zach Trotman to the AHL.
  • David Strehle: Scouting the Flyers – Red Wings: Capitals (have a home-and-home with Red Wings starting Friday), Lightning (play the Wings next week) and the Maple Leafs.
  • George Richards: Scouting the Panthers-Bruins: Coyotes, Islanders, Predators, Wild, Blue Jackets, Ducks, Sabres, Hurricanes, Penguins, Sharks, Canucks, Flames, Blackhawks and Blues.  Renaud Lavoie: Kings GM Dean Lombardi will be one of 15 teams scouting the Panthers-Bruins.
