Injury Notes: Vokoun, Greene, Ovechkin, Ebbett, Tallinder, Howard and Barkov
  • Inside Pittsburgh Sports: Penguins Tomas Vokoun is off the blood thinners and is planning to skate today. Will DePaoli: Vokoun may be a month away from the Penguins knowing if he can play at all this season.
  • Jon Rosen: Kings Matt Greene is “feeling better” but not skating yet.
  • Bruce Garrioch: Capitals coach Adam Oates said that Alex Ovechkin was injured in the third period while battling with Rangers Dan Girardi.
  • Shelly Anderson: Penguins Andrew Ebbett has been skating separately and practiced with the team for the first time since breaking his ankle.
  • John Vogl: Sabres Henrik Tallinder returned to the lineup, replacing Mark Pysyk.
  • Helene St. James: Red Wings Jimmy Howard has fluid in his left knee, but it is not as serious as the when he first injured it in December. He’ll be out for at least a week.
  • Yahoo Sports NHL: Panthers Aleksander Barkov suffered a lower-body injury against the Sabres.
