WilddliW, are you high ? There’s no way in hell, that Buffalo gets anywhere near that for Miller !

They are going to want something big not small, they are in rebuild mode. Tarensenko is not getting quality ice that he deserves.

    Polmiville- Larson, Hackett, 1st , 2nd
    Vanek- 1st, Moulson

WilddliW, you might as well find some other SUCKER to make that deal ! Because, Armstrong won’t be it ! There’s NO WAY that Tarasenko, Schwartz, Jaskin, & Rattie are getting moved in a deal for Miller !

Well, there’s an outside chance that Rattie, could be moved if, Buffalo puts either a pick, or another player in the deal . Don’t ask me what because, i have no idea what Buffalo is willing to move ? Other than, Ryan Miller of course .

Buffalo may not even move Miller if they can start bringing in pieces to show they will be a better team sooner than expected. He’s been quoted numerous times he would resign if management showed a strong commitment to improving.

Buffalo wants 1st pick plus three A prospects, do some research.

Then go find some other SUCKER to do it ! I DON’T CARE HOW GREAT HE IS, HE IS NOT WORTH IT ! I wouldn’t give up that, even with an extension in place as soon as he’s traded to the Blues, & you wouldn’t either ! DON’T LIE !

I just can’t see making a deal for a goalie that may only give us, 5 years of good goaltending for, 5+ years of our future ( i assume you would be asking for, Allen, Jaskin/or Tarasenko, & Schwartz ) .

He’s just not worth it !

    Tarasenko and Stewart
    for
    Miller and Moulson and 4th.

make that 4th conditional upon Miller resigning. If he doesn’t it becomes a 2nd.

Saberfan, although it’s kinda close, the Blues definitely do not have the cap space for that kinda move .

  13. #13 by Sabrefan at January 14th, 2014

True, but they would likely be unloading halak, and perhaps a dump to Philly for picks would work.

Not sure if this is allowed, but considering Buf has nearly 30mil to get to the cap floor for next season, what if Miller signed 5 year extension, buf retained 50% in the trade? Then the value is much much higher. And as far as return, Blues would be trading for a real shot at a cup, maybe more than one in that 5 years. They wouldn’t be the first team to sacrifice future stars for current stars in order to win now. Erat for Forsberg for example.

Jaro, rattie, and a first round. Feel like that would be a fair trade all around.

I think everyone here is undervaluing Halak. If you sit back for a moment and consider his numbers against Miller’s there really isn’t much to choose from. Talking about giving Halak and players and picks for Miller is crazy. Goalie statistical analysis bears out that ages 24 to 28 are the prime years. After that all of the stats start falling off. Miller is 33 and is that state of decline….Blues would be nuts to go there. Jaro and Brian can carry them to the promised land.
