Injury Notes: Blues, Wings, Avs, Devils, Bruins, Wild, Sens, Coyotes, Panthers, Flyers, Oilers and Rangers
  • Lou Korac: Blues defenseman Jordan Leopold is awaiting medical clearance. If he gets it, he could come off the IR today.
  • Chuck Pleiness: Red Wings Patrick Eaves said he suffered a dislocated jaw from Joffrey Lupul’s cross-check. He didn’t suffer any concussion-like symptoms and said he’s ready to play tonight.
  • Ansar Khan: Red Wings Danny DeKeyser said he’s not concerned with his groin injury and added that he could skate this morning.
  • George Sipple: Red Wings Daniel Cleary had the nerve in a tooth fixed on Thursday, then had a lower bridge crack later in the day. Had more dental work done yesterday.
  • Adrian Dater of the Denver Post: Avs forward Alex Tanguay will start skating either on Monday or Tuesday. If all goes well, he will continue to work on getting ready to play again this season.  If things don’t go well, coach Patrick Roy said that he’ll have surgery on his hop.
  • Tom Gulitti of the Record: Devils Patrick Elias is still sore from his hit from Penguins Tanner Glass. He missed last night’s game and is day-to-day. Damien Brunner is progress better than expected. He was originally expected to be out for four weeks.
  • Sarah McLellan: Coyotes Oliver Ekman-Larsson felt better yesterday and is questionable for today.
  • Bob Duff: Panthers Ed Jovanovski is expected to return to the lineup today against the Predators. His last game was last March.
  • Sarah Baicker: Flyers Matt Read will be a game-time decision today. Michael Raffl will be evaluated by doctors when he returns to Philadelphia.
  • Rich Chere: The Devils put Anton Volchenkov on the IR retroactive to December 27th and recall Mike Sislo from the AHL.
  • Roger Millions: Oilers Jordan Eberle is expected to be back in the lineup on Sunday.
  • New York Rangers: Rangers Derek Dorsett left last night’s game after blocking a shot with his leg. Andrew Gross: Dorsett will be out four to six weeks with a broken fibula.
