Daily? How about twenty times a day.

Have fun! Good pre-game trade today. I’m interested to see if Kadri gets moved too here in the near future.

Blackhawks acquire 28 year old Veteran Dustin Byfuglien from the Winnipeg Jets

Hope you enjoyed the game! I doubt 2014 will have fewer rumors!

@Tdeuce I can’t see Kadri moved except in an upgrade at centre and who has a young pivot on an Entry level contract available? Leafs just don’t have enough depth to move him otherwise.

    Trading Kadri would be stupid.

When they traded Alex Steen he was a year older than Kadri, having a bad year and never reached Kadri’s ppg totals.

Look how well that worked out.

@Alex: Getting back to reality … Didn’t get home from the game until 5:30 this morning.

It would all depend on what the return for Kadri would be if it’s a bad idea or not.

A decision to move him is not just about points or having an off year, other factors are involved IMO.

Given the Leafs lack of NHL top 6 centres trading Kadi needs to be for an upgrade and with the cap situation they also need to match dollars. That is a tall order.

Obviously if they are dealing for Tavares (to choose a random player) you make it work. But there don’t seem to be any stud centres available right now.

Tyler Bozak is a top six centre as is Kadri. Are they in the Thornton/Stamkos realm? No but certainly in the Kreijci/Koivu/Plekanec realm.

Mark of the ‘other factors’ are his immaturity there are dozens of examples of players who fit that description at 23.

No one was saying it’d be a good idea to trade Kadri, but that rumor has been out there as noted right here on this very site. It doesn’t seem like Carlyle is in love with him so maybe they seek to get a good return.

@Chris my point exactly, after Bozak you’re looking at Holland or Bolland when he comes back. Their cup does not runneth over. Also he is on an ELC so he’s cheap.
@tdeuce point taken. Though some of those rumors are from noted pot stirrers…

Kadri’s not on an entry level. I just wish this organization would show patience with young guys. Riley Sheehan got busted driving drunk, under age, with a fake ID while wearing a tele tubby costume and nobody in Detroit is giving up on him. The Bruins gave up on Seguin and that will haunt them. The Flyers have up on Richards and Cartet and have sucked ever since. The kid is 23. People need to understand that. My guess is he’ll be lights out by the time he’s 27 or 28. Same goes for Gardiner.

Fair enough, He’s on a bridge deal.

Toronto is getting better about young guys, most of the speculation is media driven. I doubt there are any “untouchables” on the roster, Like I said earlier if Tavares is coming back I’ll drive Kadri to the airport… realistically he stays.

Don’t forget Bobrovsky in the Flyers litany of woes.
