Injury Notes: Parros, Franzen, Thomas, Gaborik, Gudbranson, Lecavalier, Halischuk and others
  • Michael Farber: Canadiens George Parros told Farber that he is symptom free of a concussion. Arpon Basu: George Parros has a concussion.
  • Ansar Khan: Red Wings GM Ken Holland said that Johan Franzen is out Tuesday. Franson is on concussion protocol. No word if they will recall someone.
  • George Richards: Panthers Tim Thomas went on the IR over the weekend. Richards thinks it’s a groin injury.
  • Rob Mixer: Blue Jackets Marian Gaborik didn’t wear a no-contact jersey during yesterday’s practice. He will likely need another practice or two before he’s ready to return to the lineup.
  • L.A. Lariviere: Panthers Erik Gudbranson left last night’s game with a lower-body injury. Arpon Basu: Panthers coach Peter Horachek doesn’t think Gudbranson’s injury is serious and that he won’t be going on the IR.
  • Dave Isaac of the Courier Post: Flyers GM Paul Holmgren said that Vinny Lecavalierwon’t return from his non-displaced fracture in his lower back any time soon.

    “His treatment, he’s able to do some rehabilitation, but until the spasm goes away completely, he’s kind of limited in what he can do,” Holmgren said. “The spasms have gotten smaller. They’re more around the fracture side now. Until that goes away completely, he’s sort of limited.”

  • Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun: The Jets may have lost forward Matt Halischukfor awhile after blocking a shot with his right arm on Saturday.

    “We have to get (him) checked out a little further,” said Jets head coach Claude Noel. “But he will not be a player, he’ll probably be out for a while.”

  • Adam Vingan: Mikhail Grabovski missed last night’s game with an illness.
  • Helene Elliott: Kings Willie Mitchell missed last night’s game with an illness.
