  • David Strehle: The NHL reviewed Canadiens Alexei Emelin’s elbowing major on Flyers Steve Downie and ”no disciplinary hearing scheduled at this time”.
  • Anthony SanFilippo: Flyers Brayden Schenn was fined $2,230.77 for his cross-check on Blackhawks Kris Versteeg.
  • Ted Kulfan: Red Wings Jimmy Howard has a Grade 1 MCL sprain and is out for two to four weeks.
  • George Richards: Panthers coach Peter Horachek said that Tim Thomas won’t be out long and will travel with the team on their upcoming road trip. Scott Clemmensen will start in net for the Panthers. Thomas didn’t practice today.
  • Dave Molinari: Brooks Orpik, Rob Scuderi and Tanner Glass skated today, but didn’t take part in the Penguins game-day skate.
  • Hope Smoke: Dave Poulin: ”Burke and I have relationship for over 30 years and I know this is a game of connections but I haven’t been contacted”
