Injury Notes: Callahan, Staal, Howard, Bryzgalov, Silfverberg, Beauchemin, Hejda, Monahan and Paille
  • Katie Strang of ESPN: Rangers Ryan Callahan will be out four to six weeks with a Grade 2 MCL sprain. Callahan had offseason shoulder surgery, broke his thumb in October and now this. Defenseman Marc Staal is out indefinitely with a concussion.
  • Ansar Khan of MLive: Red Wings Jimmy Howard tweaked his knee in practice and will have an MRI today. Henrik Zetterberg was put on the LTIR.
  • Bob Stauffer: Oilers Ilya Bryzgalov was out on the ice early yesterday taking shots. Jeff Petry was wearing a regular jersey during practice.
  • Eric Stephens: The Ducks hope to have Jakob Silfverberg (broken hand) back for their next road trip.
  • Eric Stephens: Ducks Francois Beauchemin is hoping to play on Sunday, but coach Bruce Boudreau thinks he might be ready for Tuesday.
  • Aaron Vickers: Flames Sean Monahan is back skating: “It’s pain-free right now. It’s why I’m out there. I’m trying to get back in game shape and work my way back in.”
  • Joe Haggerty: Bruins Daniel Paille (upper-body) has returned to Boston for further evaluation.
