Morning Hits: NHL TV Deals $6.9 million, Waivers, DiPietro, Shattenkirk and Starting Goalies

Greg Wyshynski: The NHL has TV deals in Canada and U.S. totaling $6.9 billion. The NBA has a $7.9 million TV in the U.S. that will be up in a few years.

Darren Dreger: The Coyotes put Rostislav Klesla and the Penguins put Matt D’Agostini on waivers.

Steve Zipay: Rick DiPietro asked out of his tryout with the Hurricanes AHL team.

Tracey Myers: Antti Raanta will get his first NHL start tonight against the Flames.

Lou Korac: Jaroslav Halak will start in net tonight. Looks like Kevin Shattenkirk will be good to go.

Anthony Rieber: Henrik Lundqvist will start in tonight, Cam Talbot will start on Friday.

Brian Hedger: Jonas Gustavsson will start in net for the Red Wings tonight.

Edmonton Oilers: Ilya Bryzgalov will make his first start for the Oilers on Thursday.
