Morning Rumors: Kulikov, Tootoo, Leafs, Kings, Alfredsson, Flames, Gardiner and Jets
  • Hope Smoke: Darren Dreger on TSN Radio: “I spoke to Dale Tallon this week & I’d be comfortable saying the Leafs have interest in Kulikov. So do 20 other teams”
  • Hope Smoke: Dreger on TSN Radio: “the market is open in Florida due to new ownership. I’d still link Florida to Detroit for Tootoo”
  • Hope Smoke: Dreger on TSN Radio:  “there is no doubt, Toronto is looking to add another forward. Nonis is being patient. He’ll trade Gardiner, Rielly or anybody”
  • Hope Smoke: Dreger on TSN Radio:  “the reason I said Toronto wouldn’t trade Reimer for Yakupov because of how great their current situation is in goal” … “Yakupov is still unproven and developing. Does TO need that kind of player? Probably not.”
  • Dennis Bernstein:  The Kings are now looking for options at left wing for their second line. Matt Frattin and Tyler Toffoli haven’t worked out.  Bernstein doesn’t think they are close to a deal. Notes that they had eight defenseman on the ice yesterday morning, something has to give.
  • Darren Dreger: Daniel Alfredsson presented the Senators a 2 year offer at $6 million a season. The Senators last offer was one-year at $4.5 million.
  • Roger Millions: Flames GM Jay Feater said there have been talks with other teams about possible trades. Teams looking for vets with workable contracts, and Millions thinks it’s more that teams are calling them and not the Flames calling teams. Feaster added that US Thanksgiving is more likely when you see players being traded, still a little too early.
