Injury Notes: Hagelin, Kulemin, Burns, Kronwall, Elias, Hartnell, Lecavalier and Fasth
  • Andrew Gross: Rangers Carl Hagelin can come off the IR on Oct. 29th. He skated as an extra forward today.
  • Kevin McGran: Maple Leafs Nikolai Kulemin skated today for the first time since injuring his ankle. James Mirtle: Coach Randy Carlyle said that Kulemin and Mark Fraser are likely seven to 10 days away from returning.
  • Kevin Kurz: Sharks Brent Burns is not practicing. Mike Brown is skating on the fourth line today.
  • Helene St. James: Red Wings Niklas Kronwall took a puck to the chin at the morning skate, but he’s expected to be in the lineup tonight.
  • Tom Gulitti: Devils Patrick Elias skated by himself today. GM Lou Lamoriello said they’ll see how he feels after the morning skate tomorrow to see if he’ll play.
  • Sam Carchidi: Flyers Scott Hartnell is getting closer to returning. Coach Craig Berube made it sound like Vinny Lecavalier will play Thursday and that Hartnell is doubtful.
  • Eric Stephens: Ducks Viktor Fasth (lower-body) left practice early.
