VIDEO: Possible suspensions coming for Lapierre and Burns

The NHL will likely be reviewing a couple of plays from last night’s Sharks-Blues game.

Sharks defenseman Dan Boyle was taken off the ice on a stretcher after a hit from Blues forward Max Lapierre.

Kevin Kurz: Sharks spokeman on Dan Boyle: ”Dan was alert and moving his extremities and has been taken to a local hospital for evaluation.”

Do you think Lapierre SHOULD be suspend? Do you think he WILL be suspended? How many games?

Sharks Brent Burns hits Blues Brenden Morrow from behind.

both hits were bad and deserve suspensions… Lapierre is a repeat offender under CBA I think?

I don’t think the hit on Boyle was bad. He just turned awkwardly and didn’t have his balance when he got hit. But there was a injury so a suspension is coming. The hit on morrow however was stupid.

    both deserve a suspension.

Suspend them both,.. AFTER — the next game when the coach has an opportunity to send an enforcer out,… the suspension hurts the pride felt in the chest, the butt when the wallet is emptied and when they meet the authority of the FIST, they will stop those hits from behind and near the boards.

suspend them both 25 games they have both thrown dirty hits in the past and wont learn there lesson until there punished to the fullest extent of brendan shanahans and the nhls rules. Lapierre should get consided for a season suspension as he has been a repeat offender and has no sympathy for the players he hurts. (notice in the video he does not even look back at dan boyle to see if hes okay or able to get onto his feet and instead of turning around after danny boyle was noticed unconcience for instead of going to him to see if hes okay all lapierre wanted was to fight.)

If it was buffalo, John Scott would have been sent out.

@Mike Lapierre was not trying to fight afterwards. He was actually trying to avoid a fight. He didn’t look back because he didn’t think Boyle was hurt, IMO.

I wasn’t really a hard hit, it was just awkward, which is why Boyle was hurt. Personally I think they should both be suspended because they need to get this hitting from behind stuff out of the game. I think Burns hit was worse because it seemed like a retaliation hit with intent to injure.
