Injury Notes: Miller, Tallinder, Pacioretty, Coyle, Hillen, Letang and Burrows


  • John Vogl: Sabres Ryan Miller (sore groin) didn’t dress last night but is expected to play in their next game. Defenseman Henrik Tallinder will be out about a week.
  • Arpon Basu of NHL.com: Canadiens Max Pacioretty missed last night’s game with a left arm injury that was originally injured during their home opener against the Maple Leafs.
  • Michael Russo: Wild’s Charlie Coyle left last night’s game with an injury and did not return. Coach Mike Yeo said that it isn’t “gravely serious,” but unlikely to play on Tuesday.
  • Katie Carrera of the Washington Post: Capitals defenseman Jack Hillen had surgery on Friday to repair a fractured tibial plateau (top part of tibia that is under the knee). He will be out four to six months.
  • Pittsburgh Penguins: Penguins Kris Letang skated yesterday but there is still no timetable for his return.
