  • NHL on TSN: Oilers Ryan Nugent-Hopkins will play on Monday against the Devils. Joanne Ireland: Eakins hasn’t ruled out having Taylor Hall stay at center.
  • Larry Brooks: Rangers Ryan Callahan is expected to play on Monday against the Kings.
  • Adrian Dater: Avs Gabriel Landeskog is day-to-day with a leg injury. Will skate on Sunday.
  • Wes Gilbertson: Flames Matt Stajan is week-to-week with a deep leg contusion.
  • Josh Cooper: Predators Roman Josi left last nights game with an upper-body injury after being hit by Steve Downie. (video at bottom)
  • David Alter: Maple Leafs put Mark Fraser on the LTIR, out for 10 games/24 days. CapGeek: The Leafs recalled Jamie Devane. While Frazer McLaren and Fraser on the LTIR, the Leafs have $800,000 in cap space.
  • Rob Rossi: James Neal (upper-body), Matt D’Agostini (lower-body) and Kris Letang (lower-body) did not practice yesterday.
  • Mark Stepneski: Stars Rich Peverley is expected to play today against the Capitals.

    I think its a clean hit its just his rep that got him the penalty….if the league keeps punishing guys for laying a clean hit that just happend to hurt someone the nhl will lose some fanbase…Stop trying to turn this sport into a pussies game.
