  • Stephen Whyno: Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff signed a contract extension.
  • Darren Dreger: Defenseman Wade Redden is waiting for a deal, skating with the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL.
  • Chris Kuc: Red Wings Teemu Pulkkinen will have a hearing tomorrow for his hit on Blackhawks Mike KostkaIn person hearing so it could be more than five games.
  • Andrew Gross: Rangers assigned four to the AHL: Brendon Nash, Josh Nicholls, Shawn O’Donnell and Michael St. Croix.
  • Mike Brophy: The Maple Leafs assign Jesse Blacker and Tyler Biggs to the AHL.

    Why do teams extend these GM’s who havent accomplished anything but spending money?
