Cuts: Kings, Sabres, Avalanche, Ducks, Canadiens and Oilers
  • Lisa Dillman: The Kings sent seven players back to junior yesterday, down to 49 players.
  • Mike Harrington: The Sabres sent five players back to junior: Justin Bailey, Nicholas Baptiste, Justin Kea, Logan Nelson, and Connor Boland. They still have 56 players in camp.
  • Adrian Dater of the Denver Post: The Avalanche cut 12 players yesterday, getting their camp down to 46 players. To the AHL: Trevor Cheek, Gabriel Desjardins, Joey Hishon and David Van Der Gulik; defensemen Daniel Maggio, Lee Moffie and Mikael Tam; goaltenders Kent Patterson and Kieran Millan. Sent back to junior: Joseph Blandisi, Michael Clarke and Dillon Donnelly.
  • Eric Stephens: Ducks cuts: G Etienne Marcoux, RW Austin Carroll, LW Ryan Horvat, LW Ross Johnston, D Kenton Helgesen, C Brent Andrews.
  • Renaud Lavoie: Canadiens send Louis Leblanc to Hamilton of AHL. Additional cuts: Fournier, Reway, Hudon, Fucale, Andrighetto, Nystrom, MacAulay, Nattinen, Dietz, Thrower, Lashoff and Mayer.
  • Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal: The Oilers send 10 to the AHL: Goalies Tyler Bunz and Olivier Roy; defencemen Martin Gernat, David Musil and Joey Leach;  forwards Travis Ewanyk, Austen Fyten, C.J. Stretch, Derek Nesbitt and Matt Ford.
