  • Tim Panaccio of CSN Philly: The Flyers are hoping that a team will call them in the next couple weeks looking for a defenseman. They would like to shed some salary.
  • Dan Tencer: Oilers GM Craig MacTavish said that Ryan Nugent-Hopkins will “absolutely not” see any pre-season action.
  • Dan Tencer: MacTavish said that moving Taylor Hall to center while Nugent-Hopkins is a possibility. It will be a coaches decision.
