Morning Hits: Arbitration dates, Devils, Lindolm, Islanders and the Heritage Classic
  • Terry Koshan: Arbitration hearings are from July 22nd to Aug. 6th.
  • Tom Gulitti: Devils GM Lou Lamoriello: “Right now, our defense is solid with veterans and we still have the opportunity for a young player and we still have a chance of making another move if necessary.”
  • The Fourth Period: Rutherford said that he expects Elias Lindolm to make their roster in the fall.

“I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t,” he told The Fan. “He’s a young guy, and we always have to be careful with young guys, but he did play in the men’s elite league in Sweden last year. The fact that he’s already experienced playing with men, I think we’re going to give him every opportunity to play here. And I think he will.”

  • Chris Botta: As long as Charles Wang owns the NY Islanders, their team colors won’t change on their primary jersey.
  • James Mirtle: The Heritage Classic will be the Canucks against the Senators at BC Place in March.
