Quick Hits: Ryan, Luongo, Horton, Oilers, Panthers, Grabovski and Bozak

  • Randy Miller: Flyers GM Paul Holmgren on Bobby Ryan: “Over the last year and a half, we’ve had (trade) conversations but nothing ever made sense for us.”
  • Renaud Lavoie: Roberto Luongo is still looking at his options. It’s not known if he’ll accept going back to the Canucks next year.
  • Bob McKenzie: Nathan Horton is expected to be out until December as he needs shoulder surgery this summer.
  • Dan Tencer: Oilers GM Craig MacTavish said he’s looking for a top-6 forward with size.
  • Harvey Fialkov: Panthers GM Dale Tallon is not done tinkering with his roster, only July.
  • Terry Koshan: When the Maple Leafs bought out Mikhail Grabovski, they weren’t sure if they’d be bringing Tyler Bozak back. Nonis: “Made for an uncomfortable sleep last night.”
