Woah. I always loved Bernier and I guess Toronto will be running whoever is hot between him and Reimer. LA is going to love the game Frattin brings and Scrivens is a good back up goaltender. Not unhappy with this one.

wow cant believe that we have a goalie this good ,,big fan of bernier,,have seen reimer fall apart too many times right from leaf trade in a long time ,,jury still out on Lupol..great player but fragile,,kessel I will never be a fan of the way this guy plays…maybe he will mature but he is headed for minnyand dion is a joke as a number 1 D

just took a look at bernier GAA unbelievable,,Hassak like numbers he will need 4/5 to keep him for 5.6 years

If Bernier is a true Number 1 then Toronto just made Reimer expendable. A two goalie system with a true Number 1 won’t work any better in Toronto then it did in LA or Vancouver. Someone has to get the bulk of minutes and then the other becomes unhappy. I hope they know what they are doing. A veteran backup might have been a better idea unless Bernier steps up and makes them look like geniuses. At least they did not include a First Round Draft choice in this trade so it may work out for them but it could be a bad situation if Reimer outplays Bernier.

as for the gagner deal would rather sigh bozak
gagner very fragile smurf identical to Kjadri will play great against 3rd lines and not be seen for large least Boz mans up and wins faceoffs..leafs need a better center then this ..even statsny would be a much better fit for this yearand Weiss next didnt Bobby Ryan play center in junior..who cares just get him he is bursting out this year and would be a leader

on the bright side, the leafs didn’t acquire Luongo’s contract.. also, they are not running a 2 goalie system here… both goalies are excellent, but unproven and inexperienced, game total wise… this isn’t like the situation they have in Vancouver…

why didnt LA do a sign and trade they would have got more for this guy
why didnt LA take MATT READ amuch better player
just dont understand why this was
    best offer
this guy git replaced by the best goalie in hockey and his numbers at the time were better then Quick..also it was an injury that knocked hom down

Bernier wanted out so why sign with LA again rather than force a move? Maybe there was never a Matt Read deal in place; Read is a one time 20 goal scorer at 27 years of age. I can see Frattin being more of a role player and put up similar numbers if given the chance, plus they got a 2nd and a good back up.

Bernier and Reimer will play better than ever. Both will be battling hard to get the #1 spot.

Great trade for the Buds, a very reasonable price. They did not give up a 1st rd pick or Jake Gardiner or Morgan Reilly.

Can we finally stick a fork in all the Luongo drivel?

Bernier had no choice but to sigh whatever LA offered ..rfa
Reimer will be gone before the season starts..probably to oilers if there is anything in the gagner rumour…not a gagner fan,,too fragile ,,enough smurfs on this team now with
    kessel khadri liles phaneuf

RFA means that LA can match what another team offers or receive compensation, which could’ve been a 1st and a 3rd. He doesn’t have to sign whatever LA offered. Gagner is a terrible idea.

Tie dummy, he doesn’t have to take whatever LA offers, I think you should google the term “restricted free agent”. I think you should also google the term “hockey” since you clearly no nothing about it!
