  • Kevin McGran of the Toronto Star: The Canucks have asked the Maple Leafs permission to talk to Marlies coach Dallas Eakins about their vacant head coaching position.
  • Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News: The Stars will now receive the Bruins first round pick as part of the Jaromir Jagr trade. The pick was conditional on the Bruins winning two playoff rounds.
  • Steve Simmons of the Toronto Sun: Simmons thinks that the Senators won’t bring Sergei Gonchar back next season. David Clarkson is expecting a big offer from the Devils, and maybe as many as 20 other team will be interested.
