NHL Rumors V: Flyers, Jagr, Clowe, Bouwmeester, Jokinen, Blue Jackets, Wisniewski, Ribeiro and Oilers

  • Sam Carchidi: The Flyers have had exploratory talks for Jaromir Jagr, Ryane Clowe and Jay Bouwmeester.
  • Josh Rimer: Adds that the Flyers are talking with the Hurricanes about Jussi Jokinen.
  • Darren Dreger: The Blue Jackets will be a buyer at the trade deadline and would be willing to move one of their three first round picks. (Kings and Rangers)
  • Aaron Portzline: The Blue Jackets have depth down the middle and on the blueline. They could use one of those plus a first to acquire a scoring winger.
  • Aaron Portline: Blue Jackets Adrian Aucoin could get them a late-round pick from a team looking for depth. The Blue Jackets may want to keep him for his leadership.
  • Aaron Portzline: The Canadiens had interested in Blue Jackets defenseman David Savard. John Moore has also been a healthy scratch.
  • Aaron Portzline: The Blue Jackets would trade James Wisniewski, but it’s hard to imagine anyone taking on his contract with all him injuries.
  • Pierre LeBrun: Mike Ribeiro’s agent spoke with the Capitals on Friday and will talk again today or tomorrow.
  • Darren Dreger: The Oilers are considering keeping Ryan Whitney for their playoff push and signing Nikolai Khabibulin for another season.
