Quick Hits: Nugent-Hopkins, Belanger, Hossa, Scouting the Blue Jackets-Flames

  • Joanne Ireland of the Edmonton Journal: Oilers Ryan Nugent-Hopkins’ flu may keep him out of tonight’s game. He missed Wednesday’s game and didn’t skate yesterday. Eric Belanger should return to the lineup after missing two weeks with a groin injury.
  • Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune: Blackhawks Marian Hossadidn’t practice yesterday and is “not likely” going to play on Monday against the Kings. Coach Joel Quenneville said it’s an upper-body injury. A source is saying it’s a shoulder injury.

“(Hossa’s) doing alright,” Quenneville said following Friday’s practice at Johnny’s IceHouse West. “Hopefully he’ll get on the ice on Sunday. He’s progressing.”

  • Aaron Portzline via twitter: Scouting the Blue Jackets-Flames game: Senators, 2 Flyers, Penguins, Canucks, 2 Blackhawks, Sharks, Maple Leafs and Lightning.
