Quick Hits: Mikkelson, Dubnyk, Ennis, Latendresse and Arnott
  • Joanne Ireland of the Edmonton Journal: Oilers goalie Devan Dubnyk left yesterday’s game against the Blackhawks with a stinger after he was run over by  teammate Teemu Hartikainen. He expect to be able to go on Tuesday, but will be re-evaluated today in Denver.

“From the top of my head to the back of my neck it was burning. I’d never had that happen before,” said Dubnyk. “I could move my fingers and stuff, so I knew I was OK but I didn’t want to move because everything was on fire.

“I couldn’t feel the back of my head for 25 minutes, but they said that was just part of the nerve thing. That’s gone now.

“It’s still stiff to look over one of my shoulders.”

Buffalo Sabres via twitter: Sabres Tyler Ennis left yesterday’s game with an upper-body injury.

  • Don Brennan of the Ottawa Sun: Senators forward Guillaume Latendresse is getting closer to returning to the lineup. A Specialist told him two weeks ago that his headaches weren’t concussion related. It will be a coaches decision if he’ll get into the lineup tonight.
