  • Eric Stephen via twitter: Ducks Jonas Hiller has missed the last 2 games with a lower-body but could return this weekend. He could be on the bench tonight or on Saturday.
  • Tom Gulitti via twitter: Devils winger Dainius Zubrus had surgery on his left wrist and will be out 4 to 6 weeks.
  • Mike Chambers of the Denver Post: Avs Matt Duchene has been playing through a charley horse on his hip. Duchene has a history of this type of nagging issue and knows it comes and goes.
  • Bob McKenzie via twitter: Canucks Manny Malhotra has been shut down for the rest of the season. He’s not formally prepared to retire. McKenzie thinks that Malhotra could act as an unofficial assistant coach with players in Vancouver and Chicago (AHL). Ben Kuzma via twitter: Canucks put Malhotra on the IR and is done for the year.
  • Ryan Rishaug via twitter: Oilers Justin Schultz was injured in some capacity, but still practiced for a bit. Oilers coaches decided to shut him down for the rest of practice.
  • Chip Alexander via twitter: Hurricanes defenseman Tim Gleason has a lower-body injury. Coach Kirk Muller said that Joni Pitkanen might be for Montreal next week.
