  • The Fourth Period: The Kings have been looking for a defenseman who can play on their 1st or 2nd unit according at a source, nothing appears imminent. They are looking for a mobile, left-handed shot to play with Drew Doughty or Slava Voynov. The Kings are not interested in Wade Redden. Jonathan Bernier is their biggest trade chip, but unless they get a big offer for him, it’s likely that the they will hold on to him for now. The Sabres and Devils are shopping defenseman, but either team appears to have a No. 2 or No. 3 defenseman. They might have to wait until the April 3rd deadline.

  • David Pagnotta via twitter: The Coyotes had one trade fall through earlier this week. Don’t be surprised if they knock on Scott Gomez’s door once he’s bought out.
