  • TSN: CBA talks made little progress last week, but both sides will meet again on Tuesday. Darren Dreger is saying that the league may present another offer.
  • Detroit Free Press: Shane Doan will sign somewhere before September 15th.

“Shane is going to sign a contract before the CBA expires on the 15th,” Bross told the Arizona Republic. “(Ownership has to) be done before the 15th, otherwise we’re signing somewhere because we don’t know what the new CBA is going to look like, and I don’t know if it’s going to limit any scope of a contract, so we want to make sure we sign before then. I guess from that respect, time is ticking.”

  • Mike Brehm of USA Today: Moscow Dynamo GM said “We will talk with Ovechkin. It will be up to the head coach,” regarding having Ovechkin join them if there is a lockout. Team president Arkady Rotenberg may be thinking otherwise though,
